DESCRIPTION:

NEOMYCIN 50 % is used in the Treatment of Enteritis and Diarrhea caused by Susceptible Bacteria. as G– ve bacteria such as E – colli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus, Pseudomonus, Proteus, Salmonella and Shigella. NEOMYCIN 50% is bactericidal amino glycosides antibiotic. It produces its effect by binding to 30s Ribosomal subunit thus inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis.

INDICATIONS:

It is used in the treatment of Enteritis and Diarrhea caused by susceptible bacteria as Gr – ve bacteria such as E – coli, Klebsiella, Haemophilus, Pseudomonas, Proteus, Salmonella and Shigella.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

Don’t administer in adult ruminant. NEOMYCIN 50 % is inhibited by Sodium laurylsulphate, Cephalothin sodium, Novobiocin, Heparin, Asprin, Vit. B complex, Vit. C, Silica & Penicillin.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

• Poultry: 50 g/200 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days
• Other animals: 25 mg/ kg b.w. for 4-5 days

WITHDRAWAL TIME:  Chickens and turkeys: 5 days before slaughtering.

STORAGE:  Store in dry, cool place (below 30°C), away from light.
