Oral Suspension
COMPOSITION
Each ml contains:
Enrofloxacin………………………………..100 mg
Colistin sulphate…………………..500,000 IU
Solvents……………………………………………. 1ml
INDICATIONS:
For treatment of gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infections caused by Colistin and Enrofloxacin sensitive micro-organisms like Campylobacter, E.coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella and Salmonella spp in poultry.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
It is not recommended to use in laying hens and henny replacements 2 weeks before start of egg-laying (due to enrofloxacin accumulation in eggs). Do not use in animals with renal and hepatic diseases, as well as in combination with levomycetin, macrolides, tetracyclines, theophyllin, polyether ionophores, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and magnesium and calcium supplements.
SIDE-EFFECTS:
All member of the quinolone family of antibiotics have the ability to cause articular lessons in young animals.
Digestive alterations may appear, such as intestinal dysbiosis, accumulation of gases, mild diarrhea or vomiting.
Side-effects for quinolones like rash and central nervous system disturbance may occur.
During a period of rapid growth, enrofloxacin may affect joint cartilage.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For oral administration via drinking water. Shake well before using.
– Cattle: 1 ml per 12-15 kgs B.W, twice daily, for 5-7 days.
– Poultry: 1 liter per 2,000 liters of drinking water, for 5-7 days.
DO NOT USE FOR ANIMALS HYPERSENSITIVE TO INGREDIENTS.
SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING.
WITHDRAWAL TIME: For meat and offal: 09 days.
STORAGE: Store in a dry, dark place between 20oC and 25oC.
